Associational Prayer & Ministry Partners,
My time has been very limited of late so I apologize for not getting you a prayer update sooner.
|
Since the begining of September, I have had the priviledge of serving as the Interim Pastor of one of our churches. Cornerstone Baptist in Ida, Michigan needed some special attention during a particularly difficult time. I will remain with them until February unless they call a pastor during that time.

|
This weekend, we are hosting an areawide outreach event with Christian Illusionist, Daniel Lusk, from Indiana. Our Cornerstone people are really excited about inviting their friends and neighbors to this event. Please be in prayer for the following schedule.
|
Saturday, November 29th
7:30 PM (ET) - Prayer-walking & set-up
Sunday, November 30th
9:00 AM - Family Performance Event
9:45 AM - Snacks (meeting guests)
10:00 AM - Worship Service, with Daniel doing a special evangelistic illusion about salvation during the service.

On Monday night at 7:00 PM, Daniel Lusk will be entertaining for about 65 of our associational and church leaders for our annual associational Christmas Banquet. Be in prayer for him and this group. We want them to just enjoy themselves as we kick off the Christmas season. |

FAMILY UPDATE
- Robert and Andrew are both doing well. Active in school. Robert turned 16 in November and Andrew is now 13 1/2.
- Brenda is doing pretty well but it appears that her job may actually disappear this year. The severe downturn in the Michigan economy has raised the pressure on the private Montessorri schools, like the one where she teaches preschoolers. We are certain that something will need to change in the next few months. PLEASE PRAY WITH US that God will give us direction as we seek what His will is during these unstable times.
- Brenda continues to struggle with various physical problems. Most are chronic, and require extensive treatment or surgery. Please continue to remember her in this area.
- Bobby is doing so much better physically than in recent years. I am now off of most of the medications that I was on for the diabetes, the chrinoc broncial condition and athsma. Only one of the 4 inhalers remains and I have reduced my insulin from 300+ units per day to only 140 units per day. Many of pills are gone also. The weight is coming off slowly as I continue to manage the diet and excerise. I've around 100 pounds as of Thanksgiving. I still have a long way to go, but it is coming along slowly. Thank you for your continued prayers for my health.
- Extended Family - Some are aware that several of our family members have been suffering with health issues. This is particularly hard when we are so far away. (1) Remember Brenda's cousins Larry and Phillip who are both fighting cancer. (2) Brenda's Dad, Archie Wallace, continues to fight his cancer and has had several more bouts with colon issues resulting in several recent hospitalizations.
